Jūno, ōnis, f., the goddess Juno, daughter of Saturn, sister and wife of Jupiter, and the guardian deity of women; as the foundress of marriage, she is also called pronuba Juno; and as the protecting goddess of lying-in women, Juno Lucina, Plaut.
