G. 3, 13: nigra, Mart. 7, 35.—Hence, That which is made of it. A shoe: nivea, Ov. A. A. 3, 271: nigra, Juv. 7, 192: rupta, Mart. 12, 26.— A purse or pouch: tumidā superbus alutā, Juv. 14, 282.— A patch put on the face for ornament, Ov. A. A. 3, 202.
