D. 2, 54, 134; Plin. 11, 37, 63, § 166; also as subst.: gĕnŭīni, orum, m., Verg. Cat. 5, 36; and in sing.: gĕnŭīnus, i, m., Juv. 5, 69.—Prov.: genuinum frangere in aliquo, to break one's jaw-tooth on a person, i. e. to criticise him severely, Pers. 1, 115.
