B., of or relating to the public or the imperial treasury, fiscal (post-class.): res fiscales quasi propriae et privatae principis sunt, Dig. 43, 8, 2, § 4: jus, ib. 2, 14, 42: debitores, ib. 49, 14, 45, § 10: calumniae, complaints made for the advantage of the revenue, i. e. the fines resulting from which were to go into the treasury, Suet. Dom. 9: molestiae, i. e. exactions for the treasury, Aur. Vict. Caes. 41: gladiatores, maintained out of the emperor's revenue, Capitol. Gord. 3, 33: cursus, Spart.
