Prop., a piece of a comic description (a kind of dramatized satura), for the most part attached to the Atellanae, but given, under the emperors, as a separate performance after tragedies, Liv. 7, 2, 11; Juv. 3, 175 Schol.; 6, 71; Suet. Tib. 45; id. Dom. 10; cf. Bernhardy Röm. Lit. 2 ed. p. 341.— Transf. beyond the scenic lang., a conclusion, end (ante- and post-class.): exodium est finis ... in exodio vitae ... ad exodium adducere or ducere, Varr. ap.
