Abnŏba, ae, m., a mountain range in Germany, the northern part of the Black Forest, in which the Danube rises, Plin. 4, 12, 24, § 79; Tac. G. 1; cf. Mannert, Germ. p. 512.— Hence, Abnŏba Diana, or simply Abnŏba, ae, f., the goddess of this mountain, Inscr. Orell. 1986 and 4974.
