Sch. ad loc.) expld. it (1) from γλήνεα ( Il. 24.192), = ἀξιοθέατα, or (2) = τρίκοκκα, i. e. with three berry-shaped ornaments, or (3) = ἐκ τριῶν ζῳδίων συγκείμενα, or (4) = τριόφθαλμα, like Att. τριοττίδες; and in other ways. It is prob. formed from γλήνη as τρίκλινος fr. κλίνη, etc., but the sense remains uncertain.",
