  "definition": "τιτύσκομαι [τι-τύκ-σκομαι or τι-τύχ-σκομαι, τυκ-, τυχ-, τυγχάνω.] 1 To make ready, prepare : πῦρ Il. 21.342. In reference to getting horses ready, to yoke Il. 8.41, Il. 13.23. 2 To take aim, direct one's weapon, shoot, throw : ἰοῖσιν τιτυσκόμενοι Il. 3.80, τιτυσκόμενος καθʼ ὅμιλον Il. 13.560. Cf. Od. 21.421, Od. 22.118, 266, Od. 24.181. With genit. of what is aimed at : αὐτοῖο τιτύσκετο δουρί Il. 13.159, 370. Cf. Il. 11.350, Il. 13.498, Il. 21.582. 3 To direct the course of something, thrust it in a specified direction : ἐν κληῗδʼ ἧκεν, ἄντα τιτυσκομένη Od. 21.48. 4 In reference to the operation of the mind, to be set on doing something, be eager to do it. With infin. : τιτύσκετο φρεσὶν ᾗσιν ἤ τευ ἀκοντίσσαι, ἠὲ ... Il. 13.558. In reference to the mind attributed to the Phaeacian ships : τιτυσκόμεναι φρεσί (finding their way) Od. 8.556.",
