ὁμοκλητήρ -ῆρος, ὁ [ὁμοκλέω.] A shouter. In encouragement: τοῖο ἄνευθεν ἐόντος ὁμοκλητῆρος ἀκούσας (i.e. he heard his voice as he urged on his horses) Il. 23.452. In menace: μή τις ὀπίσσω τετράφθω ὁμοκλητῆρος ἀκούσας (before the shouts of the foe) Il. 12.273.
