To set round in circles, i.e. in strips running round: ᾧ πέρι χεῦμα κασσιτέροιο ἀμφιδεδίνηται Il. 23.562 (the strips on the front plate being app. continued on the back plate and carried round to the front again): κολεὸν ἐλέθαντος ἀμφιδεδίνηται (is surrounded by (a succession of) ivory rings) Od. 8.405.
