ἐπημοιβός [ἐπαμείβω. Cf. ἐπαμοιβαδίς.] 1 Of a garment, kept for a change ( = ἀμοιβάς): χιτῶνες Od. 14.513. 2 Of ὀχῆες, app., crossing each other(cf. ἐπαμοιβαδίς) Il. 12.456. (The κληΐς would secure the ὀχῆες to the gate at their point of intersection, and so make of the whole a solid structure without separate play in the parts.)
