Wholly, altogether, entirely, quite (in negative statements and injunctions commonly rather strengthening the negation than attaching itself closely to the verb, etc., and to be translated at all, by any means, in any wise, or the like ; cf. πάγχυ) : πολέμου ἀποπαύεο π. Il. 1.422, οὐδʼ ὅ γε π. χάζετο Il. 12.406. Cf. Il. 9.435, Il. 13.111, 761, Il. 14.91, Il. 17.406, Od. 3.376, etc. : βίοτον ἀπὸ π. ὀλέσσει Od. 2.49, οὐδʼ Ἀγαμέμνονι π. ἑήνδανεν Od. 3.143. Cf.
