A bone : πέρησεν ὀ. αἰχμή Il. 4.460. Cf. Il. 4.174, Il. 5.67, Il. 6.334, Il. 11.97, Il. 12.185, etc. : πολὺς ἀμφʼ ὀστεόφιν θίς (there is a great heap of bones; or perh., taking ὀστεόφιν as instrumental of material, a heap (is made) of bones) Od. 12.45.
