The watch (kept by the gods) on the deeds of men, their regard for righteousness and reprobation of evil-doing : θεῶν ὄπιν οὐκ ἀλέγοντες Il. 16.388. Cf. Od. 20.215, Od. 21.28.
So without θεῶν οὐκ ὄπιδα φρονέοντες Od. 14.82. Cf. Od. 14.88.
