With genit. indicating that in respect of which grudging takes place and dat. : τάων οὔ τοι ἐγὼ πρόσθʼ ἵσταμαι οὐδὲ μεγαίρω Il. 4.54.

With this genit. alone : βιότοιο μεγήρας (grudging him the taking of his foe's life) Il. 13.563.
