What is pleasing or agreeable. Only in acc. sing. ἧρα in phrase ἦρα φέρειν, to do acceptable service, make oneself agreeable, show oneself well disposed: μητρὶ φίλῃ ἐπὶ ἦρα φέρων Il. 1.572. Cf. Il. 1.578: Od. 3.164, Od. 16.375, Od. 18.56.
Sim.: θυμῷ ἦρα φέροντες (yielding to it, giving in to it) Il. 14.132.
