Of νίκη (connecting with ἕτερος 2), bringing success to the other (and previously unsuccessful) side, turning the tide of war; or perh. (connecting with ἕτερος 5), won by another's might, i.e. by divine interposition Il. 6.26, Il. 8.171, Il. 16.362, Il. 17.627: Od. 22.236.
