ἱερεύω

[ἱερός.] 3 pl. pa. iterative ἱρεύεσκον Od. 20.3. ἱέρευτο Il. 24.125 is prob. to be taken as impf. pass. assimilated to forms like στεῦτο. 1 To sacrifice (an animal to a god): Ἀθηναίῃ βοῦς Il. 6.94 = 275, 309.
