θυμός

θυμός -οῦ, ὁ. The heart, breast, soul, mind (cf. ἦτορ, καρδίη, κραδίη, κῆρ, φρήν). I As the seat or a seat (when coupled with φρήν, φρένες, κραδίη hardly to be distinguished therefrom) 1 Of life; hence a Vitality, the vital powers, strength (cf. ἦτορ 2.a.α, κῆρ 2.a): ὀλίγος ἔτι θ. ἐνῆεν Il. 1.593.
