μέλλω 1 To be about, be going, to do something, to be on the point of doing it (sometimes tending to pass into (2)). With fut. infin. : θήσειν ἔτʼ ἔμελλεν ἄλγεα Il. 2.39, ἔμελλέ μιν δώσειν Il. 6.52.
