μέγαρον -ου, τό. 1 The chief room of a house, the general living-room, the hall : ἐνὶ μεγάροισιν ἑκάστη πῦρ καιόντων Il. 8.520 : μέθυ νεῖμον πᾶσιν ἀνὰ μ. Od. 7.180. Cf.
