ἀμφιπολεύω [ἀμφίπολος.] To busy oneself about, take care of, tend: ἐμὸν βίον Od. 18.254 = Od. 19.127, ὄρχατον Od. 24.244, 257. In sinister sense: ἔδοσαν ἐρινύσιν ἀμφιπολεύειν (i.e. handed them over to their tender mercies) Od. 20.78.
