Ἀντίνοος (βασιλεύς, θεοειδής , ἱερὸν μένος Ἀντινόοιο, πεπνυμένος). Son of Eupeithes. With Eurymachus leader of the suitors. Taunts Telemachus among the suitors Od. 1.383; answers Telemachus in the Ithacan assembly Od. 2.84; proposes to waylay Telemachus Od. 4.660, gets a ship ready for this 778, reports ill success Od. 16.363; the disguised Odysseus begs from him Od. 17.414, he strikes him with a stool 458; his gift to Penelope Od. 18.292; refrains from trial of the bow Od. 21.186 (he does not seem to make the trial at all). Killed by Odysseus Od. 22.8, Od. 24.179; etc.

κηρόθι [κῆρ + -θι.] In the heart, heartily. Always in phrase κηρόθι μᾶλλον, right heartily, from the bottom of one's heart (see μᾶλλον 3) : (ἐ)χολώσατο Od. 21.136 : Od. 9.480, Od. 17.458, Od. 18.387, Od. 22.224, φίλει με Od. 15.370. Cf. Il. 9.300 : Od. 5.284, Od. 11.208.
