Taunts Telemachus among the suitors Od. 1.383; answers Telemachus in the Ithacan assembly Od. 2.84; proposes to waylay Telemachus Od. 4.660, gets a ship ready for this 778, reports ill success Od. 16.363; the disguised Odysseus begs from him Od. 17.414, he strikes him with a stool 458; his gift to Penelope Od. 18.292; refrains from trial of the bow Od. 21.186 (he does not seem to make the trial at all). Killed by Odysseus Od. 22.8, Od. 24.179; etc.
