νημερτής -ές [νη- + ἁμαρτ-, ἁμαρτάνω.] 1 Unerring, having or speaking with perfect knowledge Od. 4.349 = Od. 17.140, Od. 4.384, 401, 542. Infallibly purposed, that shall not fail : βουλήν Od. 1.86, Od. 5.30. 2 Consonant with reality, true : μὴ πάντα νημερτέα εἶπεν (that it was all true that she said) Od. 5.300. Cf. Il. 3.204 : Od. 11.137, Od. 17.549, 556, 561. 3 Absol. in neut. pl. νημερτέα, the truth : νημερτέα μυθήσασθε Il. 6.376. Cf.
