Τειρεσίας

Τειρεσίας (ἄναξ, μάντις ἀλαός ). The blind seer of Thebes-1. He only in the Shades had his mental powers unimpaired (Od. 10.493). Odysseus sent to the Shades by Circe to consult him Od. 10.490, 524, 537, 565, Od. 11.32, 50, 89, 165, 479, Od. 23.323; he appears to Odysseus Od. 11.90; his converse with Odysseus Od. 11.92, 139, 151; Odysseus remembers his advice Od. 12.267, 272; Odysseus relates to Penelope his advice and the troubles which he foretold Od. 23.248.
