Voc. -εες 337, Il. 11.823, Il. 16.7, 126, etc. (ἄλκιμος, ἀμύμων, διΐφιλος, διογενής, δῖος, θεόφιν μήστωρ ἀτάλαντος , ἱππεύς, ἱπποκέλευθος , μεγαλήτωρ, Πατροκλῆος λάσιον κῆρ). Patronymic Μενοιτιάδης. Son of Menoetius and comrade of Achilles. εἴδωλον -ου, τό [εἴδω.] An unreal image, a phantom Il. 5.449, 451. Appearing in a dream Od. 4.796, 824, 835. Of the shades of the dead Il. 23.104: Od. 11.83, 213, 602. So εἴδωλα καμόντων Il. 23.72: Od. 11.476, Od. 24.14. Of the shades of slain men passing below Od. 20.355.
