ὀμόργνυμι

wipe, aor. Act. opt. ὀμόρξαις Nic. Th. 558 ; cf. ὄμαρξον: — Med., δάκρυά τʼ ὠμόργνυντο were drying their tears, Od. 11.527, cf. 530 ; χερσὶ παρειάων δάκρυʼ ὀμορξαμένη Il. 18.124 ; θᾶκον ὀμόργνυσθαι Pythag. ap. D.L. 8.17. (The simple Verb is Ep., but ἀπ-, ἐξομόργνυμι are used also in Att.) (Cf. Skt. mrjáti ‘wipe’.)

τρέμω
