I love, c. gen. pers., prop. of the sexual passion, as always in Hom.; mostly of the man, ὥς σεο νῦν ἔραμαι Il. 3.446, cf. 16.182, 20.223, etc.; λέχους E. Med. 491 ; τῆς ἑωυτοῦ γυναικός Hdt. 1.8 ; but of the woman, ἣ..ἠράσσατʼ Ἐνιπῆος Od. 11.238 : c. acc. cogn., ἐ. μέγαν γʼ ἔρωτα E. Med. 697.
